Deep clinical experience.
Grounded, practical support.
I'm Angelique Vasilaros, MSW, RSW: an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and the Owner and Clinical Director of the Trauma Resolution Centre in Peterborough, Ontario.
For more than fifteen years I've worked with complex trauma across frontline and clinical settings. These days, much of my time goes to the people who do this work: clinicians learning EMDR, those pursuing certification, and practitioners carrying cases that follow them home. I also support leaders and teams within organizations as they navigate the challenges of trauma-informed work and caring professions.
My work isn't about checking your technique. It's about helping you trust it.

Colleagues started asking. I never stopped answering.
People started coming to me for guidance when I became as passionate about supporting clinicians as I was about helping clients heal. As my experience grew, colleagues began reaching out for consultation, case support, and help integrating EMDR into their work.
To foster connection and learning, I started a monthly no-fee EMDR consultation group. I still run it today.
Creating a sense of community among EMDR professionals is something I deeply value. What makes me an approachable consultant, I think, is my genuine enthusiasm for EMDR, my willingness to meet clinicians where they are, and years of experience with complex and challenging presentations. I love helping clinicians bridge the gap between theory and practice so they can bring EMDR into their work with confidence.
“I love helping clinicians bridge the gap between theory and practice, so they can bring EMDR into their work with confidence.”
My career also took me deep into frontline mental health services, where I saw firsthand how profoundly organizational culture shapes both staff wellbeing and client care. I watched talented, dedicated professionals struggle, not because they lacked skill or commitment, but because the systems around them weren't equipped for the realities of trauma work.
That realization led me to organizational consulting: a chance to have a broader impact by helping teams build the knowledge, confidence, and practices to care for their clients and themselves.
I keep the work focused, so we can explore issues in depth.
My goal isn't to evaluate you. It's to help you grow.
Consultation is where training comes to life. Here's what working together actually looks like, start to finish.

Before we meet
A brief questionnaire so Angelique understands your training, your strengths, where you feel stuck, and how you learn best.
Tailored from minute one: Consultation adapts to your level and your learning style, not the other way around.
In the room
Case-focused and collaborative. A specific client, a protocol question, a phase you keep stalling in, or building confidence. Your agenda leads.
Reflective practice: We explore what's happening for your client and what's coming up for you, because your reactions carry clinical information.
What you leave with
Resources, handouts, summaries of key concepts, and concrete strategies for your very next session.
Practical over theoretical: Every session ends with something you can hold onto and use.
The stance, always
Supportive, not evaluative. Ask anything, think out loud, make mistakes. That's how clinicians grow.
Her words: "My goal is not to evaluate the consultee. It's to support their growth as a clinician."
The training behind the plain talk.
“I stay current because the field keeps moving, and because consultees deserve support that reflects where EMDR is going, not just where it's been.”

The questions clinicians actually arrive with.
If any of these sound familiar, you're exactly who consultation is for.
Am I doing this right?
Is this client ready for reprocessing?
How do I recognize dissociation in session?
What do I do when processing gets stuck?
Am I moving too fast, or too slow?
How do I pace EMDR with complex trauma?
When I'm not talking shop, you'll find me keeping up with the research, keeping down the sweets supply, and being supervised closely by my two dogs, Nacho and Larry.
